Create your account and pay securely through Stripe. Your number is usually assigned when payment completes.
Request prison approval
Your loved one asks their prison to add your number to their approved phone list. The prison checks and decides.
Answer in the app
Install BluePhone, sign in and enable notifications. Calls arrive over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Know the costs before you choose
Your subscription pays for BluePhone. Your loved one pays prison call credit separately. A landline rate can cost less than a mobile rate, but the total saving depends on how often they call and the prison's tariff.

Will their prison accept the number?
Every prison decides whether to approve a number. Earlier successful calls do not guarantee a new approval. Read the approval steps and explain the service accurately.
What if I live outside the UK?
You can answer in the app wherever you have an internet connection. Your network or roaming plan may charge for data. Read the guide for families abroad.
What happens after payment?
Your number appears in your account and is emailed when assigned. Download the app, sign in and pass the number to your loved one for prison approval. If you need help, contact support@bluephone.app.
